Go to the dealer... they can tell you just by looking at the paint code on the latch side of the drivers door.

It's sunlite sun. Sterling mist is alittle darker and more silverish.

It used to be called Pebble Beige on older models, but it was renamed to Sunlit Sand in, I believe, '99.

What he said... I know somebody with a Sunlit Sand 2000 Max and it is the exact same color as yours.

I'm confused. It looks to be the same color as yours, yet your sig says pebble beige. I thought my Max was pebble beige, but now i'm not so sure.

Pebble Beige Metallic (paint code CG2) was around for a VERY long time...it debuted on the '89 Maxi and was around until '98. '99 brought about Sunlit Sand (paint code EVO) and is still available. Technically, they are different colors due to the different paint codes but I've never seen one of each color parked next to each other to notice a difference. Interesting, isn't it?

they are essitianlly the same paint but not identical... i mix paint at work everyday... and pebble beige has a different formula makeup of sunlit sand in standard matches but some the the alternates for one color match the other standard.... so they are really just alternate colors of each other...

in lamens terms the manufacturer made 2 batches of paint and they were close but not quite the same the average person wouldn't be able to see the difference

Is it me, or is there no such thing as a silver Maxima?? I've seen Sterling Mist Maximas, but they seem to be just a bit off from silver, and that bit off makes its harder to match silver or platinum rims to them. Why do 95-2003 Altimas get silver and not Maximas?
