odometer dead

I'm looking for a little pointer on an odometer problem.
It's my friends 95 auto max and her odometer stopped working today. No clue why. Anybody ever had this happen?

I'm just posting for her to help her out. I'm usually on the Z board.

On one or two other cars I've owned (not my Maxima) I've had a similar problem. i found that the reset for the trip odometer will stick and disengage both odometers. Try pushing the button vigorously several times.

i had the same problem

i had to change my ignition switch, that might be your problem, the parts like 50 bucks but its a grip of labor! you have to take apart the whole dash,

How did you know it was the ignition switch?
