Transmission problem?
Transmission problem?
In an earlier post, "Need help prescribing problem..." I described everything I could about what was going on. Now I'd like to see if this bit of information leads to a bad transmission.
P-At idle, low vibrating. Although when revved, seems difficult
R-At idle, A LOT of vibrating. Rolling reduces some vibration.
N-At idle, low vibrating. Although when revved, seems difficult
D-At idle, A LOT of vibrating. Rolling reduces some vibration.
2-At idle, A LOT of vibrating. Rolling reduces some vibration.
1-At idle, A LOT of vibrating. Rolling reduces some vibration.
So I guess, if the engine is in gear it's vibrating a lot, and if not in gear it doesn't vibrate as much. The constant "sluggish" revving/acceleration is really confusing me.
What do you guys think?

Re: Transmission problem?
I don't think that is a transmission problem. Have you cleaned your TB, IAC Valve done a tuneup etc. etc. This surely seems that you have low idle when in gear.

Could the problem be a bad coil?
Re: Re: Re: Transmission problem?
I was told by the dealer that there are two kinds of idle. No Load or the one when the car is in park and then one with a load (when car is in D or R or 1 or 2 for that matter). Try turning on your AC. Does that solve your vibration problem? If yes then it is either the coil or the TB. I have that problem right now. I am building up the courage to do the TB cleaning for the time being.

I already cleaned the throttle body, so I guess it's the coil. I will find out if it's the coil today. I gave in and took it to a shop. I spent 20 or so hours troubleshooting all sorts of stuff.
