99 SE Maxima alarms

I have a 99 nissan maxima SE. I have a factory alarm installed...does this make it impossible for someone to steal it? Drive away with it without the key? It has a starter kill, etc. right?

Just about every Maxima has a factory alarm it in. In 1999 they put an immobelizer(sp?) system in it as well. That means your ignition key has a chip in it. Your car cannot be started unless the correct ignition key is in the ignition.

Back to your original question, Can your car be stolen?

It sure as he11 can! Just as fast as any other car if it's wanted by professional thiefs.

Its Not blue if you look at the base of your key you will see a lil black square, thats the chip. Oh and have you ever heard of a tow truck?
