THANK-YOU! What is the fascination with "bigger is better" these days? To a point! Then it just looks stupid and makes you slower. I think 17's look best on a 4th gen, 18's on a 5th gen. 18's and 19's respectively, AT THE VERY LARGEST.

IMHO after riding on 18's all summer with the harsh roads here on LI i wouldnt go any larger than 18's. How are the roads by you? that should play a big role in what size you go with. Even though 18's still look small on a max to me, id say go with 19's

I would go 19's just because I think it looks better. 18's do ride a little better though. Wayne let me know if you want those wheels. I can get those C5's also.

don't have any

before you dig deep into this.. remember its a catch 22..

big wheels = more traction
smaller wheels = smaller rotational mass

Ditto on your local road conditions as the #1 factor

This should be your biggest deciding factor, imho.

I have a buddy who used to love his factory 19"s that he had on his BMW 330 & now he's rolling on 17"s with two taco-ed 19" hoops collecting dust in his garage.

Potholes eat 19"(+) wheels for breakfast lunch & dinner. (18"s too, sometimes) Just be aware of this.

speed, speed, speed, why does everyrhing always have to be about speed. I think 19's would look awsome, sure if you get some 16's or 17's you will probably get better speed than 19's but the 19 will look much better IMO. But just remember that bigger wheels need bigger tires, which can cost some serious $$$$.

18's would be the biggest I go and get the lightest rim you can afford.

You asked

18's. Not to overbearing, and they look clean on a big car. Look at the old 740's, 19's IMO would be to heavy and edging on getto, but i guess that depends on the style your looking at. Also the $$ for tires, and the availability of having them serviced (a lot of shops don't have equipment for a 19inch rim.)

But I would get what you feel is better, after all it is your car.

Yeah, I agree dental. 17s are the best compromise. Anything bigger and your spending a lot more for the rims - not to mention tires, your ride is a lot harder, you're slower because they are heavier and the increased handling is arguable. I'm happy with my 17s - as far as size. Now if I can only shave about 6-8lbs off those 24lb obese monsters....

they make you slower if you buy big fat heavy ones. My 19s with tires weigh less than your stock wheels or whatever wheels you would choose i am almost positive.

all this bullshtt about bigger not being better has nothing to do with this thread. either say 18 or 19 if either is your choice, and if not.. shut the fukk up and press the back button up top.

19s bro.. all the way.. with the dish on the 18s they look smaller..

I have 18 inch rims that get mistaken for 17's all the time. 19's in my oppinion would be perfect, but someone needs to tell Rays Engineering that.

This is what I'm talking about. Its not like my car will be slow anyways if I do get 19s. Already blown and then 5spd this summer, so thats not my concern. If I wanted a dragster I would have bought some light weight wheels like ssrs or something like that. I want something that looks good.

i just dont enjoy pointless comments that have no relevance to a topic. if this thread was entitled "please give input on your wheel recommendations" then i would keep my mouth shut and my opinion to myself, but it's not.. this is a thread that says, "18s or 19s" how hard is it to keep your damn (no offense to you) opinion to yourself and just put 18 or 19 or get the fukk out??

you know what i mean? i am not trying to be a ****, but over and over and over people are just being dumb and posting dumb shtt.

eai cylinders.. lol.. watch your maxima eat through those like a fat kid on a skittle.

sprints or some jic's would work well.

I hear what you're saying but 1.) the cussing is totally uncalled for. And 2.) I would agree with you if those of us in favor of smaller diameter/lighter wheels were rude and offensive such as "Why the h. do you want 18s or 19s? That's stupid...". No, we are simply saying that he might want to consider 17s for x reasons. If 96sho is still set on 18s or 19s, fine. Ignore our posts. I don't see the harm.
