Anybody experiance bad front wheel bearings? I think mine are shot. Cause when im on the highhway i can hear a kind of rubbing sound and makes the car feel wierd, NOT a smooth ride at all. It comes and goes once in a while too. It cant be my front rotors right?? Any help or advice would be appreciated!!

I had mine changed at 30K miles, 3 years of ownership

It made a big difference in noise. The only noise I hear now is from the tires. My mileage is about .75 mpg better. I didn't really notice that the original bearings were bad. The shop guy told me that I must have driven through a lot of deep puddles, rain, or wash the car too often. The old ones lost all their lubricant and started to rust a little. As far as rotors go. I haven't have mine serviced, resurfaced, or anything. I have 43K miles on the car, but I'm not a heavy braking kinda guy.

My 98se was making a low pitched growling noise which was coming from the rear. It turned out to be one of the wheel bearings. You could only hear the noise once the car got above 20mph. The guy I bought it from replaced the bearing and now it drives very quietly.
