Joint Axles CV Boots Busted
Can anyone give me some information about the Joint Axles CV Boots? Mine are busted I know for sure and when I turn I can hear that clicking that doesn't sound good for the car. How much could I get them for? Where can I get them? Who has had this problem.

I feel your pain man, I currently have the exact same problem. Not being a perceptive person when it comes to cars, I didn't notice the boot wearing down until finally I could hear that bad clicking sound. I took it to the dealership immediately and got both CV boots replaced for about $400. Whatever you do, do not drive for a long period of time with that boot cracked, it could ruin your entire axle. Good luck!

I had a similar problem. I had both of my cv boots ripped but luckily I caught the problem before ruining my axle. If you can hear a clicking sound when turning or accelerating from a turn, than pretty much you have ruined your axle and will need to replace them. That is quite expensive to replace at the dealers. I would shop around at local stores and find the best prices for the part and install. Goodluck.

You can do the repair yourself, but it's pretty tough. There are directions here: http://www.motorvate.ca/

Also, he uses Amsoil in the joints, which is an awesome lubricant.
