I have 17x8 Borbet Type E's on my 96' Max that I put on about last week. One thing I have noticed is that the front two rims stick out just a little. It almost looks like one of those small Mexican cars that have the wheels sticking out like half a foot. I mean, it sticks out just a little, but enough to see it. Any one know of a solution or is this normal.

look at my site listed in my sig

You will notice I have the same wheels and mine stick out a little bit, but its HARDLY noticable. I think it makes the car look better...more substantial.

all 17x8 rims?

Does that problem occur with a 17x8 rims? If I want to avoid that, would i be better off with 17x7 or 17x7.5 instead?

rims

I don't think it's a problem with the rims or the wheels - I seem to remember someone before saying that the body is just narrower in the rear, so it's like an illusion.

offset

If you lower your offset it would make a change. I don't think that the rear is narrower. In fact the front end actually wraps around and curves more by the wheels than the rear. In the rear it is real straight and flat compared to the front.
