I just got a '99 see auto back in April. I'm looking to keep the car for a while, (as a family car), so i'm not looking to go all out with the mods, but I would like to get he best bang for what I want. Ultimately I'm looking to get an SC, CAI, Y Pipe, lower suspension, and strut tower and sway bars. So, I'm not looking for the phatest car out there, but definetely one that performs best with the parts I intend to upgrade.

First Question: What would be the best part to start with?

Second Question: Any other parts that I should think about that I haven't mentioned?

Thanks

rear sway bar and front strut tower brace. after it is install you will feel the difference right away. if you have a 5 spd. a short throw shifter is a must.

Are you serious? You're not looking to go all out, but eventually want an SC, Y-Pipe, CAI and suspension mods? The SC alone qualifies as "all out"!!

I'm talking about adding the SC a couple of years down the line though. By all out, I'm not talkinb about ripping out the ingine to put in new rocker arms, valves, pistons, or making any tricked-out mods to the body.

There is no need to spend any money on new rocker arms. Your engine doesn't have rocker arms.

Thanks for the correction, but...

the point I'm trying to make is that I don't want to do anything directly to the engine. I don't know enough about them, (obvious by my previous statment) nor do I have the resources to work on them. I'm just looking for some sort of roadmap to upgrading my SE with the intention of using some of the parts I listed. I'm new to the game, so I might be missing some crucial steps in my thinking.

For order of mods... I'd say...

FSTB
Intake
Clear corners
Clear+red rear (check out my site for pics of it, bottom picture. Have to make em yourself though)
RSB
New tires (highly recommended, stock ones suck big time)
H+R + Koni setup for a family car (eibachs are a bit stiff for your purpose)
Y-pipe
RT cat
Don's VB mod
Exhaust (maybe apexi or HKS, stillen and greddy are too loud)
Supercharger

I always say, suspension before speed. You need to handle your power before you pour it on. Course some crazy people *cough* Cheston *cough* wish they would have done the supercharger as their first mod. But I'd say do at least the suspension and tires first.
