knock sensor replacement
knock sensor replacement
Finally replaced my knock sensor, wow what a difference. My cars hiccupy and lagging performance had been hounding me for a while now, but no check engine light.
So I just test to see if there are any codes anyway, and just the 0304 code (knock sensor).
Didnt really need the extension, just tossed (more like gently placed) a socket wrench w/ 12mm socket in "the hole" and then wedged my hand in there. I couldnt hold the wrench and wedge my hand in at the same time.
But grabbed the wrench after my hand was in there, once you cram your hand in the hole up to your wrist, its actually kind of roomy. Manuevered around and placed the socket on the bolt and loosened it enough where I could hand loosen it the rest of the way Pulled it out, etc. etc... the rest is history.
So those of you w/ small hands just cram them in there and go to town.
The power is smooth and always there now, those of you with hesitation / hiccups in powerm check the ECU the knock sensor code.
Just my experience. Hope this helps someone.
