Just bought a 5-speed!!!

Yesterday I traveled down to Green Bay, WI from Duluth, MN to pick up my Maxima. It is a 99 SE, 5-speed, Sterling silver. I sold my 95 Auto last summer and have been driving an 85 Ford Tempo since. I guess I was totally unprepared to the amount of power the 5-speed has over the Auto!!! I Alreday ordered a PR Cold air intake, clear corners new cornering lights. I already have 17" Konig Reigns from my last Maxima as well as new Dropzone lowering springs. I'm installing those in the summer though. I found the car on autotrader.com. Picked it up for $15000 with only 30,000 miles!!! Sorry for going on and on. I am just a little excited. Also had my my first two kills last night. A Chevy Blazer and a Pontiac Grand Prix. Nothing special.

Congrats on the purchase. Since Duluth MN winter is as horrid as our Canadian winters, you keepin the Tempo as a winter beater? I wish I still had my 1988 Pontiac Firefly (not sure if it was avaialbe in the US).

Mine was loaded except for the winter package. Check it out at my homepage.....have fun with it, you'll love it!! I know I love the added power my 5spd has, and its way more fun to drive!! Congrats!

Beautiful choice in colors!! The 5 speed will give you a grin anytime you like!!! Don't forget to add a Y-pipe to the mix. I have an SE-L 5 speed Gray/Black leather. I just installed the budget 2 weeks ago. Gives a mean growl like the MAX should! It will go good with the intake. So far I want mine intake stock. The y-pipe really helps your highway kill % go up. Many happy shifts!!!

I'm keepin the Tempo if I can get it running. It broke down, but I souldn't be supprised, it's a Ford afterall. My Maxima has not much for options, all the standard Maxima emenities plus a rear spoiler, alloy wheels, moonroof, CD player...no leather ..but the 5-speed makes up for it in every way, shape, and form a note to all you auto people wanting to go stick...sell your auto and but a stick, as a former auto myself, I could never go back to an auto...

I guess if I had to drive in Dallas traffic, I'd sometimes wish I had an auto.. but I don't have to drive in traffic, ever - Eugene Oregon has a "rush quarter=hour" not a rush hour!
So for now, I'll keep grinning as I work those gears...

Me Too

I just bought a 95 with a manual 5 speed. Wow that baby can cook. Hopefully I'll be picking her up tomorrow, as soon as my bank gets back to me. First Nissan I've owned and I think I'll be keeping her for awhile...such a tight ride. Later Everybody.
