hi there....i want to go to pepboys or autozone, i need the hood shocks and remplace my wood stick jejeje to have my hood up. do you know which part is?? on autozone or pepboys? price, brand etc.

For advance autoparts it should be 4524. If you do a search for this you will find more parts listed on here. Very common problem for maximas.

 

you can just ask, they'll know what the part number is. if not, they shouldn't be working near a car

So now you can authoritatively walk up to the counter and say, "Gimme p/n 4524, and make it quick." then they will ask you what kind of car you have, what year, and they will look it up and say "Yup, you need p/n 4524, how'd ya know?". Impressive.

 

I bought hood shocks a year ago from partsamerica. After one year they have gone bad

I say save your money.

 

I bought the same ones for $18 each, and they also went bad after a year. However, I had them replaced free since they have a lifetime warranty. How I look at it is pay $120 for two from Nissan with a one year warranty or pay $36 for two from advance with lifetime warranty. I don't know of any other aftermarket place that sells them.
