I saw one thread that his back strut blew because of his maxspeeds it was a 5th gen. I have the KYB maxspeed setup and its great. Its fun turning corners now. I dont need to slow down like before. No wonder grandmas and grandpas drive slow through corners. Cuz the max cant handle it. Pair maxspeeds with KYB's u wont regret it. The drop is reasonable its not a 4x4 anymore but not too low for it to scrape.

It's not recomended to run any performance spring with stock struts/shocks. They aren't valved correctly to properly dampen the spring rate. Stock struts and shocks are specifically valved to match stock springs for a smooth ride.

Very well said. It appears my max is faster with the new suspension. I dont know if its just in my head but It seems it accelerates a lil faster. Enough to tell a difference.

I had maxspeeds on my 95 stock GLE shocks and struts. I have to say, the front suspension held ok but the one of the rears failed and started leaking. the ride was also horrible as the car became very bouncy. i ended up picking up kyb agx's and have them set to 2/2 front/rear. my only regret was not doing this all at once. Live and learn id say. Your SE suspension should be stiffer than my gle so you may be able to use them with the maxspeeds... but not for long.

Yes, the GR2's may be [i]slightly[/b] stiffer then the Toks.

hey

don't pair the maxspeeds w/gr2s your ride will not absorb bumps too well as i'm speaking from experience. It will be a smooth ride on smooth surfaces, but you'll get the notorious tight bounce in the rear that makes your car seem like it's an airplane going through air turbilance. And my car rides like that almost everywhere. Now, don't get me wrong, the GR2 is a good shock, just not valved to the spring rate of the Maxspeeds. I think i'm going to have to get different springs, because I can't stand the ride much longer here on crappy NJ roads.

Good luck.
