Most on the org who have upgraded wheels go with 16's, 17's, 18's, occasional 19's. Limited few have 20's, and don't fit well and give the car the 4x4 look that we spend so much to get rid of with suspension upgrades.

stay away from the dubs. They don't look right on the max IMO. You can find some pics , do a search.

I got 19's riding on 35's I think it looks nice. I think 19 is the most you should go 20's look like they would rub once you drop your car.

i would say go with 18's many org. members have them and it looks good. 20's just look horrible, dont get them. personally 17" seems perfect, just remember the larger rims you get the slower you get, thats why i like my 16's

It sounds like you're focused on looks, not performance, so I'll take that angle.

18s are the minimum. We have huge wheel wells and anything smaller is too small. 18s look good. 19s are even nicer. 20s can look real hot, but only when done tastefully.

Freddie's (97GLES) 19s. Hot!

i30cefiro's 20s. Hot!

20s. err, not my style

i think as long as you have a decent drop on your car, 17 on up will look great...maybe a little more of a drop for 17's: sprints look nice. or you can get 20's , and if you do, you could drop it near 1.5 inches without experiencing rubbing, as long as you roll your back fenders. rims can say a lot about your car. if done tastefully, you can get whatever size you want. choose wisely!

*come on now guys, everyone's beatin' up on 20's. i'm trying to get a new recruit here to join the club! *

The only reason being that they weigh a little more. In some cases like half a pound more. As long as you go with the recommended tire size for you car the wheel will be the same in diameter.

I agree with Sean97SE, doing a search will definitely reduce your odds of getting flamed.

In the 4th gen FAQ, there's a posting about 20" dubs

For all those who have posted pics of their wheels here, please visit
https://maxima.org/shoptalk/sub_whee...os/index.shtml and contribute your pics. The instructions are on the top, and it would definitely be a valuable resource to those looking to see how different wheels and spring combos would look on a Maxima. I've noticed that this page on the SHOP TALK link doesn't get many contributions, it would be great if there wer more pics.
