Hello all!

I am going to be installing a new stereo today. I have thought about using wire nuts to connect all the wires.

Is this a good/bad thing to do?

Thanks!

wire nuts are ok, however...

butt connectors are a cleaner solution.
These are the red, yellow, and blue plastic insulated tubes that are open on each end. You simply strip both wires and insert one on each end of the butt connector and crimp. This way all your wires are straight rather than a bunch of V-pairs of wires terminating in ugly plastic thimbles...

The butt connectors are the way to go. The color indicates the wire size; make sure you buy for size, not for astetics!

Thanks!

Thanks to both of you. I ended up using butt connectors. They were just as easy as using wire nuts.

Thanks!
