Y-pipe.......definatly. They work great with intakes.
Personally I have a Budget Y-pipe and FrankenCar Intake combo and I am very pleased with it.
I really have to suggest the Budget Y-pipe great price and performance.
Their site is: www.budgetexhaust.com

GET A BUDGET Y-PIPE They are only $170 shipped from Canada plus you will need 2 gaskets. But that bolt on will give you 15-18 real HP.
If you are looking for performance suspension you will need a little more money but it can be done will only $300. (maybe)

I'm thinking about getting a budget also but do they or do they not some with the gaskets I'm hearing no and yes from different people on these threads. I thought they came with everything you need. And if they don't where do you get them and what exactly do you ask for when you go to buy them?
dpassino - one way to be sure though, because I had this issue. My numers corresponded to Cali Spec, but my exhaust system conforms to Fed Spec. The way to check this is to look between the radiator and the engine. If you have a Cali Spec, you will see 4 harnesses all about the same size lined up from left to right, if you are Fed Spec, you will only see two. Why the discrepancy? I don't know, no one else here seems to be able to answer that either. So, take a look under your hood for this to be sure. Those harnesses correspond to the O2 sensors as there are 2 on the Fed Spec and 4 on the Cali spec, not including the O2 sensor behind the main cat.

are they circular or rectangular? i mean i have circular things between there, but i also have 4 rectangular things with wires coming out.. what am i looking for?
well meienkee said they would install y-pipe (the pipe before the cat) for about 100.00 as long as i provide all hardware needed to install. which i believe budgetexhaust.com does. i am going to call them know and get some info from them.
