Im planning on getting some 18x8.5 inch rims for my 95 maxima, I want to know what's the proper size tire for this size rim.

For a 8.5" rim, probably either 245/40/18 or a 255/35/18. If you are trying to get the same overall diameter as stock, then I'd get an 18x8 rim with 235/40/18 size tire

18 inch wheels

as for the size of the tire, these guys know what they are talking about, why would you want 18s though they terribly hurt performance they are crazy heavy. im getting a 98 SE in a few days and if i get wheels ill stick with 16s but id get Volk Racing wheels because they are light and very strong. Also with the 18s on bumpy ground there wont be enough flex in the tire to absorb the really tiny bumps like bridge expansion joints. As for the pic of the I30 in one of the replys, whos 240 is that in the background???
