hi.. im not really into racing or anything like that, but this girl wants to race me for $500 i have 95 gxe 5speed... all i have is a K&N filter, and a muffler, then everything else is stock(oh and i need to replace one of my knock sensors the check engine light is on for one of them) so i wanted to ask you guys what do you think ... if i have a chance.. thank you

 

do you know anything else about the motor in her car? is it built or anything like that? and is it in a civic hatchback, coupe or is it in an integra? hit me up on aim if this thread gets locked or vi private messages.

 

That will be a very close race I wouldn't race for that much money if I was you. Race her for less. She wants to race for that high amount for a reason. So watch out.

yeah i raced a civic with just an ls motor in it numerous times when my car was stock, and it beat me every time mostly because of my driving and the place we raced, if it was level ground and i got better starts and i didnt have oversized tires on the front then things would have been a lot diferent and i def. would have pulled like car on it but its still quick, if its a gsr in a hatch back then your most likly gonna get beat if its done right...sorry guys i wanted a civic before i saw the maxima's and realized i could get twice the car for the price compared to some of the ridiculas priced civics

 

yep, those are also good too. either she is totally ignorant to the performance of a maxima or she has something under her hood.

 

shell out 160 for a ypipe...its worth it. If it has a swapped motor, watch out! 500 is a lot of money, there has to be a reason behind it, there could be a ITR motor in there for all you know.

 

Assuming all situations the Honda is driven well:
B16 Civic Si, if lightly modded(i/e) it will be close.
B16 Hatchback or any lighter chassis, it would still be close, but the advantage goes to the hatch.
Integra GSR, very close race.
B18C1(GSR Motor) in any other chassis besides the GSR, it would probably beat you.
Integra Type R, close race, advantage ITR.
B18C5/B18C6/B18C7(USDM ITR/Euro ITR/JDM ITR) in any chassis besides the ITR or GSR, would probably beat you.
H22A in any chassis period, would probably beat you.

 

wow, civics...

i just came off of the garden state parkway and OWNED this modded civic in my 4th gear, my first REAL race, i mean we flashed each other, he was speeding past me, i dropped it a gear when he was a good 3 car lengths ahead of me, i walked him and walked him, tried to keep it in 4th but by the time my front bumper was at his fender i was at a good 6 rpm so i threw it in 5th, owned him so easily (my friend in my car was so sooped) and he flashed me claiming me victorious...feels so good....
