5th gen muffler?

i have heard that for 400 i can get an intake, b-pipe an y-pipe, which sounds like a LOT of bang for the buck...but i kind of want some sound with that too, and i have heard of some ppl putting stock 5th gen mufflers on their 4th gens...is this louder/does it sound better? and how much would that cost?

People put on the 5th gen muffler because it has variable back-pressure (or, something like that) which aids in low-end torque.

BUT, it is not loud...in fact, most people do this to quiet their rides.

IMHO, with an intake and Y-pipe and B-pipe, your car will be plenty loud.

I have an intake and Y-pipe...quiet enough in idle...a real sleeper!
but, as soon as you go WOT, WOO HOO this machine screams!!!

WarpSpeed Performance (clicky) sells 5th gen mufflers with the inlet and hangers modified to bolt-on to a 4th gen b-pipe. They seem to have problems with quick shipping, but you might want to go this route if you want to install it yourself. I think they charged me around $75.00 for it.
