question about B-pipe
i was wondering for those of you that have a B-pipe installed or know about it, is this a do-it-yourself job or does it involve welding where i would have to take it to a shop.?? same question goes for the y-pipe and test pipe..?? also.. if i were to install all three, would it be possible leave the stock muffler or do i have to get one of those moped sounding mufflers..??
any feedback is appreciate..

well...you can definitely keep your stock muffler.
many people do exactly what you just mentioned to get "all the power without all the sound"
aftermarket mufflers only yield about 1-2 hp anyway I think so its not really worth having one
If you got the right tools and a lift you can do it all yourself. In my case I paid someone to do it because my tools sucked and the bolts were too hard to get off.

Yeah do those shops make One OK ya think.
What size pipe should He use?
And does it need to be mandrel bent pipes.?
I almost got one to , but carx wanted like 130.00 , i thought they were crazy using regular bends for that price but just little bigger piping.

I dont want to ***** your thread or anything, but are all the aftermarket B pipes the same length? I want to get 2.5in B pipe, and keep my stock muffler, get a shop to put a 2.5in pipe and flange on the stock muffler.

However, if you want to have it 2.5in all the way you have to expand the inlet of the stock muffler {it ain't 2.5) and weld on a new pipe and flange to hook up to the B-Pipe.
