I wanted to add a cat back, I have seen a varitiy of peeps who have there different tastes in the exhaust choices. I wanted to get one that has a nice growl,deep and throaty, I seen the max from the F&F 1 when it pulls out of the drive way, and it sounds nice as hell. I have seen a video with the Greddy and it seems nice and quite but a little more throaty at WOT, I still heard the intake over the exhaust. I just want to get some opinions

OBX makes a good cat-back like the Greddy SP.

Looks great, sounds great, and sells for a great price.

Apexi WS Sport - 380-400$ .. most quiet / conservative aftermarket exhaust
Stillen - Looks nice, expensive.. has a "drone" at idle and on acceleration.. people find it quite annoying..
Greddy - aggressive looking, big tip.. loud.. around 450$?
OBX - Looks identical to the Greddy, more quiet, and a .5" smaller tip... but the cost is under 300$!


clear winner - OBX
listen to araffio, get them while they are hot..

Where can you get the OBX and the Apexi WS

 

Try checking on www.Ebay.com, i think there might be a GD for the OBX in the GD forum. Check with www.adventon.com for the Apexi WS but do you have a 95-96? if not you'll have to add an O2 sensor bung and it will be about 2" shorter under the back bumper.

get the obx, it's all s.s. and you get to save some $$$ for your next mod.

 

i have the GReddy EVO on my 99 max and i love it. it looks agressive and it sounds great. but then again, i only have experience with GReddy. i've never tried any other exhausts. a friend has the stillen one and it sounds nasty. you can get the greddy for under $500.

OBX all the way...i see no reason to get greddy when its EXACTLY the same and over 200 dollars less....apexi...well, obx is cheaper....i have it, love it, and recommend it

In relation to this post what are the diameters of the exhausts listed if anyone has that info to contribute, Cause I want to go with the Apexi myself but I need a nice size exhaust to enpend thoses nice turbo gases if ya know what i mean cause along with that Ill also be getting the great and beautiful turbo put in when I return to the states

 

OBX- 2.5" SS piping, 4.0" tip
Greddy SP- 2.5" aluminized piping, 4.5" tip

Not sure about the Apexi WS, but I think it has 2.25" piping.

THanks for all the help. I think I will have it between the OBX and the greddy sp. I saw for sale and the highest bidder was $260. He said he had it on the car for 1 1/2 years or so. I may look into that. Thanks for tellin me about the stillen. I was going to go with that. But if people have heard the exhaust and its nasty, then I dont want it. Like I said before, I have heard a video of a Greddy, and it seemed nice and quiet, but with a little tone. I haerd the intake over the mufffler. Thanks agian
Where do you find the OBX one?

 

I don't mean to make for a more difficult decision but I just came accross a CatBack system from Blitz. Its the BLITZ REALIZE TT CAT. BACK EXHAUST available at adventon.com for $466. Has anyone had any experience with this, sound, durability, anything...I also don't want anything loud and nasty.

I have the Greddy Sp and I like how it look and sounds. It's not that loud and it only drones around 2k to 3k. Although, the only experience I have had with catbacks is with the greddy, you can't go wrong with it. I would keep a lookout in the for sale forum. Sometimes, u can get a good deal on one.

 

I would go with a warpspeed b-pipe and your choice of muffler. Great sound and performance for half the price. And you wont have the same system as everyone else

 

They Stop Producing the Blitz, cuz they had the muffler on the wrong side...
