Car is dead

Accessories sometimes work, but when turning the key to start, everything dies, and car does not start, battery is good, starter is also good, any suggestions? Fuses? I schecked all of the starter, acc. fuses and all of them are good. Maybe a bad ground connection?

Uh, you might want to check the alternator, which you did not mention ?! Just my 0.2 cents.

when you say accessories sometimes work, do you mean everything starts working then slowly stops? Are your headlights dim? Does your windows go slllooowwwww down? If so, check your alternator. Thats the symptoms I had when Nissan had the alternator recall on my 97. I brought it in and they hooked me up with a new one.

Alt is good. I think it is a bad gnd connection b/c when just sitting there when I re-connect the gnd, the interior lights work and the clock works, but when I turn the key to acc. everything once again dies.

Are u sure battery is ok? I had a similar problem 2 weeks ago on our 99 maxima. Battery tested 12 volts under no load conditions. All accessories worked fine. Upon testing battery while cranking engine, battery showed 4 volts. (Way to weak) replaced battery all is fine now.

We boosted it and nothing, same thing, it died. So we changed the battery to the other vehicle, and it started right up using my battery.
