I think if u did this to your car, this would make your car TYTE.
-clear bumper lights
-half read-clear tail lighs
-hyper white driving lights
-hyper white fog lights
-shave off one of the nibbles to make a brighter clearnce light- using hyper whites
-side marker in hyper white
-front bumper light rewired to STAY on and in hyper white
-side bumper light hyper white
-for 97-99 with the red-clear tail light swap, in tha little corner at the bottom on the side, make those light hyper white..

All of these modifications in MY opinion would make the max look very nice figuring that we dont have that much 2 work with . im sure there are alot of DIFFERENT opinions but this is MINE . let me know what u feel, thanx

Why not go HID

They are a finally a decent price for good quality. I'm supposed to get a set, hopefully for $535 shipped in the groupdeals section. I've seen these in action...they are amazing. Installation is just like the APC harnesses, plug and play.

Heres what I am doing for lighting on my I30,

True Hid's in 1 piece Cefiro headlight,{coming in 1 1/2 weeks}
True HID's in fog lights {allready did that},
Piaa plasma H4's in place of the 1156 Cornor lights {any day now}
And that about raps things up except for entirior lighting.
Whole lighting setup cost me $1500 and the look on the face of oncoming traffic priceless haha!Actualy one other thing I will do is put piaa SW wedge bulbs in my license plate lights.{=$22}

Don't forget to rewire that little hyper white bulb in the 97-99 taillight to alternate with the blinker, that's what I did.
