Maxima Shocks
I have a 96 Maxima GXE that has treated me incredibly well. It has about 134,000 miles and is still purring like a kitten. The only problem I have encountered so far is with the shocks. It appears that the front shocks haven given in, anytime I go through speed bumps or any inconsistencies in the road the front end of the car kinda bounces. I'm pretty sure its the shocks. So now I need to go out and purchase some new ones, the cheapest I've been able to find is about 70 bucks per shock(and thats for generic parts). Do you guys by any chance know of a cheaper alternative? Maybe someplace online or anywhere else really.

Are you looking to UPGRADE or just keep those stockies? ![Big Grin](https://maxima.org/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
If you are upgrading, get some Tokicos. They are slightly soft, but nice 'n sporty. If you are looking for a little more adjustability, go w/ the KYB AGX's
A little bit more that 90 a piece, but well worth it.

Someone else keeps making promises to send me payment...but it's been over a month now and still nothing. Perhaps we can work something out instead. Thanks.

Houston - I'd definitely talk to Calsonic and/or look around in the For Sale forums, or post a WTB Tokico Blues/stock front strut replacement post in the classifieds forums.
I was lucky enough to get a pair of slightly-used tokico blues front struts from an .orger for a darn good price (thanks Erica!
)
Still have to install them and hopefully other minor front suspension goodies when it gets warmer out.
