Intsalled my y-pipe!!!!!!!!!
Well me and a buddy finally put on my y-pipe on Monday morning. We started at about 10 and finished around 2:30. All of the bolts at the front came off nicely but two on th emiddle and the ones connected to the cat were a *****. We had to tkae the car to a shop and they torched them off. Then even after the y-pipe was disconnected, it was still attached to the cat with rust and whatnot. I had to pound on the thing with a hammer to get it to come lose!! But once the old pipe was gone, putting in the new one took literally 15 minutes. It is so much easier to handle. After starting it up, no rattles, no "bees in a can" sound, nice and quiet, except for the sweet sound hiss. I didnt notice any power increase down low, but stepping on it from 60 an up, there is A LOT more pull!!!!! I am one very satisfied Budget customer. A little advice to those who are going to install it them selves, get someone to help, and use lots of liquid wrench on those nuts, and be prepared to go to a shop.
