Call them, they have an application for the forth and fifth gens. There was a group deal organized by EricGP for $320 per kit, but I doubt you can get that price considering that it was at least 5 months ago. They are a great porduct, definately the best for the price. I believe retail is $400.

Other coilovers are $1500...Why?

Before I spend $500+ on springs/struts, could someone tell me why the ground control coilovers are so cheap $$$? You usually get what you pay for, but sometime parts are just overpriced. Are the Ground controls the equivalent of the cheap Tokico struts? Are they just going to wear out quickly?

What is the lowering effect of the ground controls (range of ride height?)

How much of a drop requires an adapter kit for alignment?

The ground control coilovers are only the springs, you can put them on new struts or the stock struts. Cattman's coilovers are an all in one unit, bolt on. They come with coilovers and fully adjustable springs and struts.
Look Here: http://www.cattman.com/
It comes with everything and it's an easy bolt-on install. Also, I think the cattman coilovers have a larger range of ride height.

OK

Gotcha...I saw the cattmans the other day and they would be overkill for me. When someone says coilovers, I immediately think - complete unit.

Just a question for those with Ground Controls. Do yours make funny noises like mine do? Mine pop during slow speed turns and squeak on big hits. Plus the ride is horrible with the Tokicos, I wonder how you people with stock struts can say that it rides decent. And I think my car actually handles worse now than it did with my old intrax. The suspension doesn't seem to take bumps during turns well and the car feels looser and tracks worse. Much harder to control. Overall, I'm still happy with them because I expected all of this. I wanted to be able to drop the car low for show and raise it for street driving and this allows me to do that so I can deal with the negatives. Hopefully when I get Koni's, things will get better.

mine do exactly what you said above. i found out that the back springs squeak because the bolts (in trunk) that hold the shock/spring setup into place were getting kind of loose. i went back and retightened every thing and the squeaky noise went away. as for the front ones i have yet to find something to stop it. i think it does that because the coilover is not connected to the whole shock setup. like when you jack your car up you can move the coilover around. well when you hit a bump hard enough to make the car bounce high enough the coilover doesn't touch anymore and when it comes back down that little metal centering piece recenters and makes that popping noise.
