Rewired 1157 BULB, NO1156 bulb, NO rewired car

I was going to try the 1156 bulbs and file one of the ***** down, but i got wrong color bulbs. I didn't want to rewire the car, so I tried rewiring the 1157 bulbs themselves.

All I did was short the two metal connections on the bottom of the bulbs. I soldered a little wire between the two connections on the bulb and it worked perfect.

i thought about doing it that way, but i change my mind, you have 8w and 27w together= 35w, maybe a little hot, let me know how this work out. must be damn bright!!!

did you...

increase the fuse size for those lights to accomodate for the additional wattage?

so what is the best fuse size to go with the 1156 mod? 7.5 ?

I didn't change the fuse....the bulbs and the fuse have not blown...i've had them for in for two days and they were on for 2 hours strait today.
