my 1-st gear (5-speed) seems to be weak compared to my friends GS-R. checked ECU codes and got nothing but EVAP which has nothing to do with performance of the car. what can be the problem here?

 

definitely seems to be a problem because first gear should be so strong you can barely get traction...

i can't think of anything that would only have a negative effect on first gear only, performance wise.

knock sensor, tb cleaning, coils, spark plugs?

 

there is no knock sensor code, i will be changing plugs, fuel filter, and do the TB cleaning. probably a stupid question but whats coils?
