Please help shifting real hard :(!

Ok its been snowing a lot here in NJ nearly a foot if not a little more I tried to pull the car out into reverse and it got stuck, so I put it back into drive and gave it gas and reversed it and put it in drive back forth making sure I had my foot on the brake between each shift to finally move the car. Now my shifter is shifting really hard . What did I do wrong?

Im guessing your an auto...

Did you spill anything in the shift linkage? That happened to me, and I could barely move it. If you can, take the cover off of your shifter exposing the linkages, and spray a little windex in there. It should clear it up.

Ok **UPDATE**

Its shifting fine from R to N, N to D, D to 2, 2 to 1, 1 to 2, D to N, and N to R, however shifting back to P is a little hard in other words shifting from R to P, or D to P etc is hard. You think something might be a little frozen from the condensation? Thanks...
