info about red/clears...

just got my 99 max SE Limited 5sp. I want to get the red/clears and heard about inserts u can buy for about 20 dollars...do these look as good as the ones from custommaxima.com, which are around 200 dollars?

what u could do is start up a group deal with custommaxima.

i got mine thru the GD and oh man ... they look NICE!

You can do the custom job but won't look as clean as custommaxima.

97metallicgxe makes inserts for 20 bucks...they look good...200 bucks is kind of a lotta money

be carefull if you decide to make your own with the inserts. I heard a lot of people cracked the lense by accident...there are a lot of threads on how to's by doin a search....good luck

PS CustomMaxima uses an expensive machine to cut his I use my time,skill,and my dremel tool at home in my garage...

I try to do the best that I can...

DIY

Just put them on a tray and pop in over at like 350 for 5-10 min keep checking. Get a butter knife or screw drive and pry but dont do it unless the glue in melted. I cracked mine trying to pry but u cat tell i just super glued the piece back on. Just make sure the glue is heated up enough and go round the whole casing and pry a little at a time. Get a peice of clear plastic from home depot, in the lighting section. It a square peice that you see in office bulding those thin sheets. And cut it out. Its simple. good luck
