These FSTB's Or Rear ones also for that matter, which it seems everyone is convinced are not a waste of time. Why, if it's so universally understood to be such a grand thing, isn't such a simple little bar built in with the car??

Because 99% of users/drivers would not know or care about them, nor would they ever reap the benefits of strut bars.

Most maxima users never push their vehicle's potential.

Cost. Most vehicles these days are designed to be as cheap as possible, they will remove any extra parts which are not absolutely required by the customer. The 4 gen max was designed to be as cheap as possible. For cars requiring extra performance, you do see them built in.

Cars like the 350z and 300zx have them because nissan knew that people were buying those cars to puch them hard and not poke around town in a maxima.

Maybe 9 out of 10 grocery moms don't want the suspension/ride to be or feel any more stiff than it is/does. They like that body roll, it makes them feel like they're in a luxurious lincoln.

Only the new I35 comes with them - the 4th Gen Maxima lookalike (I30, 1996-1999) doesn't have them.

Maybe the I30t does, but I'm 100% sure the stock I30 does not.

Neither does the I30t. My sisters MP5 has a factory one.
