Weird "hmmmmm" coming from the front passenger side wheel

Every once in a while (once a week maybe) for the past 6 months, when making a slow right turn (5-10mph) they'll be a weird hmmm'ing sound that comes from the front passenger side wheel assembly. It will only last for 1-3 seconds and then it's gone. I've noticed I can kill the sound by simply tapping the brakes. Is my caliper dragging excessively for a moment? Wheel bearing?

Sound's like a Wheel bearing to me. I would definately check it out. I had the same noise in mine and let it continue. It cost me more than I care to talk about to get it fixed. The bearing may seem expensive but it's way less than I had to spend after it tore up everything else around it.

I agree, sounds like a bearing. Jack that corner of the car so that the tire's off the ground, then check for play top to bottom. There should be none. If there is, and if the lower ball joint is not the culprit, the wheel bearing is shot.
