Check Engine Light

I have a 95 se and I am experiencing some problems with my check engine light. 2 weeks ago when we had freezing temperatures I would warm up my car 10 minutes before work, when i knew the car was warm the temperature gauge would still sit on cold (didnt even budge) then shortly after my check engine light went on and stayed on. If anyone knows what may be the problem please feel free to offer some advice..

thanks

I would say it is your engine coolant temperature sensor that died and your ECU computer is trying to tell you the same thing. (check the code) To check the temperature sensor (next to the distributor on the SOHC engines, and on the water outlet tube on the DOHC engines), unplug the connector and ground it with the ingition on. If the temp gauge runs up, replace the sensor, if the gauge does not move, there is a problem with the gauge.

I hope this helps,
bazsu
