Engine Bogging Down

Sometimes my car feels like it is dragging it's rear when I try to accelerate. I can punch it and the engine gradually builds up and then it feels and sounds like it switches gears or takes in too much air or something. Then it bogs down. I don't know how to describe it. So before you give your .02 cents heres some background info. It's a 1996 Max. It was bogging down even before I did the following:

5 weeks ago- Stillen exhaust and B pipe
4 weeks ago- Stillen intake
3 weeks ago- NGK plugs, Mobil One SYN, and NEW knock sensor
Today- Budget Y-pipe

I must add that after all this.. the performance gain was minimal at best. My car really doesn't feel any different. It's a bit louder especially in the lower RPM range.

I know this is way late. But maybe you are catching the transmession in a higher gear. Also, if you haven't already and I know everyone always suggests this, but try changing your fuel filter, and cleaning the throttle body. I did those two very inexpensive projects and it made alot more differce then changing the spark plugs alone did.

maybe the knock sensor was installed wrong, becuz ever since mine threw the code for it its been having bad low end problems. you might have a code still stored on ur ECU which is gonna make your closed loop run rich a.k.a the low end portion of it. Mine feels like my clutch is slippin sometimes becuz the low end is beat as hell while the high end is still great. I'm gonna assume its still the knock i need to change. wont know till i change it though $$$
