i got new tires on the max... do you have these?

hey guys..

after much reading and going back and forth between countless tires, i have finally made a choice. i ordered the Bridgestone Potenza S-03 Pole Position - Size 235/45YR17. they look awsome, and have very high ratings on almost every aspect.. besides snow, which is a given. check out the link:

does anyone have these tires and like them? just curious to see other opinions. thanks

chris

Those are excellent tires. Just picked up a set for our 330.

Max will get a set on my 17" rims this spring.

The few ppl that I know that have the S-03's have nothing but positive things to say about them....the only downside is that they do wear out relatively quickly.

I heard they wear a little quicker and a bit on the heavy side. Performance wise, they are one of the best.

they wear out quicker? even under normal driving conditions? i mean i peel out, but not too much. what kind of car were they on that they wore out fast on? if it is a porche or something then that might be why...

Fast tread wear is just comes with the territory when using ultra high performance. Can't have everything. Don't expect more than 20k miles or so.

Like I30tMikeD said, most people will get about 20K miles out of those. If you drive like a grandma, you might get 30K miles out of them. That's the trade off for such of high performance tires.

If performance tires are going to wear out so fast, i'm going to go with a good rated less expensive tire like Kumhos. Just my opinion

fast wear and high price - but all signs say they are the best --> enjoy 'em while you got em. If you got the old stock rims/wheels you can swap them out for long trips
