Since there currently is no engine in my car, and I can get the unit for $50, do you think I should switch to auto climate control? I'm not asking for your opinion on the CONTROL , I just want to know if it is easier to do it, and how much over the $50 I'd need to invest.

I know there are many sensors you will need throughout the car (3 or 4) that you need thats measures temperature ???

How does having the engine out, have to do with your Climate Control ?

Yeah, there are 4 sensors, costing about 30-50 each from Nissan. I assume at least some of the sensors belong on/in the engine, so it would be easier to put them on while it's out.

30-50 dollars?

That's quite a discount from what this thread says: http://forums.maxima.org/showthread.php?threadid=42950

Eh, beats me? I called a local dealership, and they quoted me on 2 of the sensors, and said the rest were the same (I was in a rush, didnt find out about the others). Does anyone actually KNOW what I'd need to do for this operation?

Keep in mind the ACC has automated louvers for directing the air to the floor/vent/defrost. If the non ACCs are mechanical linkage or vacuum controlled, you're going to have to get the servos/solenoids/motors for that as well as the thermistors for the ambient temperature readings and the interior temps.
