Hello guys,
Can one of you tell me what are the parts which covered under NISSAN warrany for atleast 50k miles for 1999 NISSAN MAXIMA V6 (eg: Exhaust leakage at O2 Sensor)....

Right now i got a problem ( ) with Catholic Convertor, Exhaust leakeage. One of the mechanice said, this parts are covered under warranty for 80k or 8 yrs from NISSAN. But NISSAN showroom people are not replacing the parts.

I appreciate if some one can list the parts & warranty info....

Thank you,
Krishna

I thought after the 3 year bumper to bumper (36K Miles) it was only engine/drivetrain....

You can download Nissan's warranty plan from ASP pdf document. I yanked it off Nissan's site and have stashed it on my ISP's page. The 80K or 8 yrs sounds really high and I doubt the showroom people truly know what they're talking about.

Typically, it's the service guys who confirm whether a part on your car is covered under warranty. They check your VIN # against Nissan's database to see what kind of warranty coverage you have. I think it a nation-wide database and not local at the dealership. I've had a number of thing replaced under warranty when I've brought up the issue with my local dealer like leaky hood struts and two radiator fan motors and blades.

in 99 i bought the extended warranty for the new car that covers the car bumper to bumper, 7 years or 70k miles whichever comes first. after the first 3 years or 36k miles there is a 50 dollar deductible that applies to all warranty repairs. the cost for the extended warranty.. $700 that was financed in the loan.
