ES Front Control Arm Brushings??

Does anyone have these? is it worth the install? what about extra noise?

I found a great write up by Virus on the end link and sway bar brushings. He mentions the control arm brushings, but he did not install them. So has anyone out there installed them and is it worth it or is my car just going to make even more suspension noises?

All advice is always appreciated!

Thanks.

I have energy suspension's poly-ure bushings in my a-arms and i would say they are worth the money, especially if you have to replace you old rubbers anyway. They seem to give the front end a new smoothness and produce less noise due to less movement as my old bushings were completely shot. the poly ones from energy should never need to be replaced.

How hard is the install? So you would say that these caused LESS vibration and noise at ALL speeds?

i have the lower conrol arm bushings.

install is a PITA!?!?!?!?!

i got more road vibration. didn't really tell a major difference. but i do believe the steering feel is better than with the stock bushings. mainly i can feel the road a little better in the corners. but i have to live with the vibration though.

So if you had to do this over would you do the control arm brushings?

Can you elaborate on "road vibration"?
Thanks for the replys... keep em' coming.

steering wheel vibrates while driving on freeway.

i probably would do it again jus because it weas a 33 dolla mod and it did help a little.

i guess the urathane being harder than the stock rubber busings it won't absorb the road vibrations.

So on a completly flat smooth freeway my wheel will shake like I have a bent rim?

If I only do the swaybar brushings and the end link brushings will my wheel be more solid on the freeway with no vibrations? ie-bent wheel.

Thanks JDM!

I have the control arm bushings and the sway bar / endlink bushings. I can't tell how much they helped because I installed eibachs, konis and a rear sway bar at the same time. I really like the way the car feels. No wheel vibration either.

im not sure how a bent wheel feels but *** far as the vibrations. its more of like the way the vibrating feature on cell phones ivibrates.

some people are fine some people have vibrations. so its up to you. i still need to install the end link bushings.

I just installed mine but can't tell how more more VNH yet. Still running on 65 series snow tires Again, if your OEM ones are shot why not. Same pain in the a$$ install either way.

okay.. so I think I will just get the end link and sway bar brushings. I can't stand it if my wheel shakes!

The thing I don't understand is some people get vibrations from their wheel after the install and some do not? Can anybody explain this?
Thanks for the replys!

If your vehicle is in good condition, and the allignment is good, than you won't shake. The reasons a steering wheel shakes is because of bad tires, bent wheels, worn tie rod ends, bad ball joints, bad CV joint, bad bushings, and/or bad allignment. If you have one or more of those things wrong with your car, fixing the bushings will just make the problem more obvious. A car in good condition will ALWAYS benefit (performance wise) from stiffer suspension connection points.
