Yesterday while going to a party my dumbass hit a side mirror and broke mine! ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH, its a long story I don't want to go into details, but I need a new mirror, I was thinking about upgrading to the LED Mirrors on customa maxima, if I do decide to get that done, where can I get them painted, how much to get them painted? And how much for installation? I'm in Central, NJ. Thanks!!!!

 

I broke mine once...called around a bunch of junkyards in the area, and checked inventory of some larger ones online, but couldnt find a mirror. I ended up buying one from an infiniti dealer, which was unpainted.

I went to the auto store, and they didnt have any black that was supposed to match Nissans in particular, so I bought a little spray can of generic black auto paint. I used masking tape and newspaper to cover the whole mirror except for the plastic on the back, gave it a few coats of the spray paint, and it actually came out very close to the color of the car...not really a noticeable difference unless you were looking for it.

'course, the car got totaled a couple months later

don't get the LED mirrors from custom maxima. they're not full mirrors, just shells that fit over your existing ones....so i've been told. i need a mirror too. try local junkyards. they usually have them. i went to one the other day and found a mirror in perfect condition, but the guy wouldn't sell me just the mirror cuz he said it was a good door that he could sell. i'm thinking about going back and kicking the door in, then we'll see if it's good anymore

 

Well I didn't break the mirror I broke the shell completely, plus the motor is still good. How much do you think local junkyards will have them for? Are they easy to install?
