Sorry to ask this on a maxima board, but there may be someone here that knows this.. Are the stock headlights, tail/trunklights of 98-99 I30s compatible with 96 I30? I've been thinking of changing over to the new style. Any response would be appreciated!
yes...
My friend has a 97 I30, he bought 99' tail lights and headlights and they fit on perfectly. Want Infiniti Parts at 25% off? Infiniti of Scottsdale will help you out...

Yep, I like the newer style lights.
I may try to pull some off a wrecked one, hehe. I was quoted $175 for the headlights of a 98 I30 yesterday. Actually, I was also thinking of getting the 17" wheels from the 2000+ I30t, and maybe the muffler, but the downward-pointing tips may look funny on my car.

2k+ I30 Muffler
Any of you guys with I30's swap mufflers with the 2nd Generation I30's (2K+)? Is the swap the same with 97-99 4th generation max's?
Differences on pre 98 headlights...
The headlights are not "jewel" type like the 98+ I30's.
The headlight lense on the 98+ is clear with no slits. The pre 98 headlights have slits on it to reduce glare.
