Maxima not starting.

I'm sorry if this has been discussed before but since the search option is out...

Last night I got a CEL 1001 code - Front Left Htd 02 sensor heater. Would this cause my car not to start up this morning? The starter does its job and the car idles for about 1/2 a second before it just dies. So is it the O2 sensor thats doing it or is it something else?

Any help is very much appreciated.

Thanks

Here ya go......Clean the throttle body with a carb. cleaner...wipe it clean and let the cleaner drip out onto a rag beneath the body...you'll be suprised how much black stuff comes out...I also sprayed the butterfly till it was totally clean and wiped clean ....re assemble the Air filter intake and your car will start right up.....

Re: Maxima not starting.

I had the same problem, car would start idle then die. It would take 2-3 tries to keep it running or a bump of the gas pedal. Heres what i did. Tune-up: plugs, fuel & air filters, cleaned the TB, adjusted the throttle cable and added some barryman injector cleaner. It now starts like a champ. I also have my cel on with the rear heater o2 sensor code.

Re: Re: Maxima not starting.

Thanks for the advice guys. I cleaned out my tb last weekend and its idling at 750 and starting up normally. No crazy shakes at 500 rpm!

Again much thanks!
