I'm selling my auto for a 5speed

I found this 96 maxima SE 5speed for sale in the paper. It is beige ext. with cloth int and has 72k miles. Engine never touched and the car looks brand new, no kidding. He wants $8000 cash and it's all mine.

Should I go for this?

It sounds like a deal to me. low milege. just ask him if you could take the car to mechanic and have local mechanic check it for you. or if you think its good then get it. and check carfax on it. or check for accident.

It doesnt sound too bad. I'd try to bring it down a bit if I were you. I paid $7,000 for my 97 auto, and it was clean in and out with 27,000 miles. I just wish I had a 5 speed...

Yea it came with leather and the bose system and everything except a sunroof but I'm still hoping after I get done paying for it I can find someone willing sell a 5 speed with low miles. I guess I'll just have to wait.

8k sounds too high.

6.5k or so is fair value for it, especially with a tan exterior and cloth.

Check it out and try to bargain the price down, leave him an offer and let him get back to you. I really think that you should be able to fin one for more than a grand less without a problem.
