is a AEM Bypass valve really neccessary for a cai

on a 4th gen...do we really need one of those for a cai? what's the chance of getting water coming into the engine with the pr cai setup

we have 5 maximas here with CIA and unless you have alot of rain its fine just try to stay away from large ponds of water..

Ya I have to agree with the smiley face, it's really not worth it. Unless you live somewhere where's there are a lot of unavoidable puddles, you don't need it. It would have to be pretty deep to get up the engine, and I hear it restricts the airflow a little. I have a PR CAI, and I have yet to experience any problems. Just make sure you clean your filter properly and you should be fine.
