Best Y-Pipe for the $$$

Anyone have info on Y-pipes? I hear a lot about budget, and warpspeed. What's the best for the money? I was looking at Stillen's Y-pipe and it's like $350...that's a lot more $$$ than I've seen the other ones being sold for.

what i heard is that the budget is pretty dang cheap and it is the same exact thing as the other companies.
you are pretty much only paying for the name brand.

I love my WSP (paid $195 + s/h non-mandrel aluminized); I've heard budget is a great deal and only negative is a little extra noise

I have a mandrel bent, stainless steel Warpspeed y-pipe, and I am very happy with it. The difference is very noticeable, especially above 3k RPM's. I paid $275 dollars for it. I think it is worth every penny.

What about the Stillen Y-pipe? Any review about the Stillen one?

I have a Budget (stainless/mandrel bent) and there's no noise to speak of aside from a slight hissing noise at WOT above 5K RPM. No CEL codes to worry about. The Budget CAI, on the other hand, (in conjuction with the y-pipe) makes my Maxima sound like a Porsche928 - according to my 18 y/o nephew who works at a Porsche shop. (talk about the coolest job for an 18y/o car nut to have!!!)

I have a budget y-pipe. It is at least 10 lbs lighter then stock it was very easy to install. (I can only assume the other 2 are the same way 8 bolts) The one draw back it the noise if I shift after 4500 RPMs. Not really loud but it is a draw back.

I have a stock exhaust system right now so I don't think it'd be all that loud - would it?

you forgot about Cattman...

they all do the same thing...so get the cheap one...budget.
they are just pipes - its nothing mechanical.

my budget makes a tiny bit more sound than stock around 1700-2100 rpm. just a little deeper, but still more quiet than most stock cars on the roads.
there is also a hiss at about 5k rpm...which i kinda like

They are about $160. American. I say American because Budget is a Canadian company. The website is www.budgetexhaust.com.

a. Ca spec
b. Fed spec

I have a 96 Gle - Does that concern me or just the 99 and up models?
