Stillen Intake (95 maxima)

I just recently installed a stillen intake, into my maxima. Theres two sensors for a 95 maxima. an airflow sensor and from what I heard a temperature sensor that goes directly into the filter itself. The one that is the airflow sensor plugs back in, but the temp sensor is in the form of an ellipse and theres only enough space for a circle shaped form in the intake. My mechanic said that the sensor needs to be in and he doesnt recommend, leaving the stillen intake in. He says that theres no spherical sensor that fits in that intake. anyone know of one? what do you reccomend

The stillen intake has a hole at the end where the stillen logo appears. There should also be two screw holes there as well. Remove the air temp sensor from your factory intake box, it is secured w/ two screws. Once you remove the sensor you'll see that it is round and has an elliptical base - it will fit. Install the removed sensor into the Stillen intake and plug the harness back in. Hope that's clear.

the description is quite clear aside from 2 problems, 1 I dont think the stillen intake has two holes, 2 I really dont think that the sensor is in the shape of a circle.... i will take pictures tommorow and post maybe you can help me then.

Yep,the 95-96 has three holes on the filter. You prolly got the 97-99 one that doesn't have any hole on it.But you can drill 3 holes on the Stillen K/N filter to put it on there.Hope this help.

Nope, all you need is find some washer and screw to plug the holes up.

so since i'm using an intake from a 95-96 then it should have holes when i don't need them right? so i don't need to drill...just plug up the holes?

Well it's fairly ez to do it.All you got to do is remove the air temp sensor from your factory air box. There is a oval shape braket thing that hold your air temp sensor to the air box,use this oval thing and drill the holes same as the oval thing on to the filter.Hope this will help.
