Hi. I just got a used 1996 maxima, and the rear power window doesn't work. I was just driving it today, and all of the sudden the rear window goes down. I tried to pull it up. I can hear the motor working, but the window just hangs there. I had to pull it up myself and tape it to keep it shut for now.
What could be the problem, and how can I fix it? Please explain in very easy terms, as I am not too automotively inclined. |

All the other windows work just fine. I can hear the window motor turning when I press the button. Both up and down. But it's as if it's disconnected from the window, because nothing happens. The window just hangs there and can be moved by pulling it up or pushing down.

Where can I get a complete book about the Maxima that tells how to do this stuff?

Auto Manual

Thanks.
I think factory manual would be an overkill, since I am obviously not going to try and fix complicated problems myself. I am going to a autoparts store and see if they have those Haynes manuals. |
