IACV_ Idle Air Control Valve.
Haynes manual say that between these connectors the resistance must measure 30ohms. 1 & 2.=30ohms 2 & 3.=30ohms 3 & 4.=0 ohms ??
4 & 5.=30 ohms, 5 & 6.=30 ohms.
what this means.
all the test completed fine , EXCEPT the 3 to 4 ohm reading, but the other readings with 4, 5, and 6 were fine.
Is My IACV gone bad.
I read a post about this a few weeks ago but i cannot find it now
<seeing as we dont have a SEARCH button anymore, i just love when new management comes along, always extra BS.>

let me get my scanner together, you may want to re-READ that manual.

Now, the important question should be, which manual would you trust more? I'll take the FSM anyday (just like I'll take the stickers under the hood if there's a discrepancy). I'd say Haynes has a typo. And this could be why you got 0 ohms when you checked 3&4, but right on with the others.

Does your haynes have a red maxima on the cover? maybe
its a different version manual.

IAC valve OHM measure results.........
Ok I got the check engine light for the IAC valve, (AKA sensor 0205).
I have the Haynes manual and they said i could check the resistor on it the IAC valve, and i did. this is the results i got.
Terminal 1,2=38.3
Terminal 2,3=38.3
Terminal 3,4=34.2
Terminal 4,5=34.2
Haynes manual mentions they should be around 30 ohms but they are higher so i want to be sure if that IAC valve is bad.
I really need someone to check there IAC valve terminal and tell me what reading they get. please if you can I really appreciate it.

What year is your max? I tested my car and one off of a 98 max, and the valves are different from 95-97 maximas. If I remember correctly, both valves from the two cars measured just a tad more than 30, but were within range.
