I finally got my MAX!!!!!

Now I can Finally call myself a Maxima Driver! I just(3/14/03) bought a 99 SE with 61K miles, in Deep Evergreen, with Sunroof, Traction Control, Heated Leather Seats, Bose, Limited Slip Differential, and Automatic Tranny, And i LOVE it! It is soooo beautiful! I can say that now i finally know just how much you guys love your maximas! It's very clean no mods yet though, even the ecu still has the unbroken sticker on it for the self diagnostic.

So now that i finally got it, i need to get a repair manual for it, to do a tune up, etc. however chilton only has a 93-98, no 99! and i also saw a Haynes, which one is better? (of course the Nissan repair manual! but i can't find it anywhere and i really don't want to go for it to the dealer and become handicapped.)

Any input is appreciated as always.

thanks

btw: its automatic because i drive in NYC, and driving my friend's 240sx in stick for a week was too much for me. besides i can always go for a 5-speed conversion later, i just don't have any need for it now.

are you sure about that? unless your maxima is from Canada.. it doesn't have LSD.. unless someone put it in there from an I30 or a Canadian Maxima..

check your transmission VIN.. if it ends with a V .. then you have LSD

i also have a "slip" light right next to the "TCS" light on my tachometer gauge. i'll check the transmission code tomorrow and see if i truly do have it, i also know that cars.com had a LSD listed as standard equipment on 99 SEs. but i doubt cars.com knows more about maximas than the .org

I about have the identical car...sort of...Deep Evergreen 99SE, leather, all the goodies....but I don't have heated seats, LSD, nor traction control. I do have a 5-spd, so that's the plus.
