KYB dust boots

As far as I understood people do find KYB dust boots for 4th gen Maximas (I think S103 and S108 are the part numbers). But when I called Shox.com and tirerack.com both guys said that these boots would not be a direct fit? So do I have the numbers right?

Second question would be, is KYB dustboots the best choice for KYB shocks? ( i did read somewhere something about the bump stops, which others don't have)

I waited for a while to get my kyb dustboots. they have a shortened bump stop so you dont need trimming (if youre going to lower your car) and the fit is quite good. The new kyb boots are a perfect match to my kyb agx's.

Hey, are both front and rear shortened or just front?

If the rears are shorter than stock, by how much are they shortened?

Yes, those are the correct part numbers (SB103 and SB108).

Just go to Tirerack.com and order front boots from a '95 Mustang and rear boots from a '95 Miata. They are the same part numbers for the Maxima.

That's what I did!

shox.com

or just tell the dude @ shox the part numbers. he will then try telling you multiple times that they won't fit, regardless of how many times you tell him that others from maxima.org have used them. He will mention that they aren't for a maxima, regardless of how many times you tell him others have used them. Eventually, he will relent and take your credit card and shipping info. If you're lucky you'll be able to break up your boredom with a nice 10 minute conversation with a stranger who isn't happy selling you his product.. it makes for a fun afternoon break. seriously though, I respect them trying to look out for people getting the wrong parts, but when I tell you repeatedly the part number and how I know it will work.. just sell me the damn part

anyone, exactly how much and where, the regular bump stops have to be cut???

how many inches?
on what end?

the alternative that JAY25 offered, which was 1/2 price of the KYB dust boots is very tempting, other than the fact they are not cut.. but that can be fixed easily..

anyone?
