02 sensor fuse?

ok, see this first:

http://forums.maxima.org/showthread....hreadid=196541

unable to believe that in the space of 20 minutes my wiring harness just went bad, i went back and checked my fuse panel. I noticed that my dumbass had put the fuse for the O2 sensor in the wrong spot. Now my question is, does anyone know that if this fuse is not present any harmfull effects on the O2 sensors? like burning out the harness, the sensors themselves, etc.?

so what happened with yours? did you lose all the sensors, or the wiring harness, or did the car run rich for a while?

Ran so lean it melted my a fist sized hole into my pre-cat. When I replaced all the broken parts and sensors the problem still existed. So, currently I am carless and trying to find a solution to my mysterious 02 sensor problem.

I HATE obdII systems, and I especially HATE cali-specs

I hear you on the cai-specs. I anted to cry when i realized mine was...

anyway, i was told that with the car in the condition it is now, it would be running rich, not lean. Either way, my MPG has gone back to the way it was before the CEL came on. For the week i had the CEL on, i got about 180 miles to the tank, doing the sam driving i was before. Now, i'm getting just a little under what i was gettting before the CEL, and i'm attributing that to the fact that the ECU needs to be reset, and possibly damage to an O2 sensor.

What's your beef with OBD II?

IIRC, all that fuse does is supply the heating element to speed up sensor warmup... I'm not 100% sure though.

See now that would explain why the sensors were working once the car was warmed up. I think. I dunno, i'll have the ECU checked again soon, and see if it's still throwing codes.
